Namaste
My name is Raju Lunkad, and I was born and raised in India. I obtained my BS–MS dual degree from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, India, and PhD from Charles University, Prague, Czechia. At present, I am a postdoctoral researcher in Theoretical Physics at the University of Göttingen, Germany, working under the supervision of Marcus Müller.
My research mainly focuses on weak polyelectrolytes. In particular, I study how charge regulation varies as a function of pH in systems such as peptides, proteins, and polymer brushes. To address these problems, I use a combination of Coarse-Grained (CG) Molecular Synamic (MD) simulations, Single-chain Ising Density Functional Theory (SciDFT), and Ising Density Functional Theory (iDFT).
